Renee's Peanut Butter Bars

Peanut butter & Chocolate with a peanut butter glaze frosting... Mmmm can't go wrong with these so I thought I'd share this recipe!
Renee's Peanut Butter Bars
1/2 C. butter, softened
1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. creamy peanut butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 C. flour
1/2 C. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 C. chocolate chips
Icing:
1/2 C. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter
2 Tbsp milk
Directions:
In a mixing bowl cream butter, sugars, and peanut butter.
Add egg & vanilla; mix well.
Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
Spread into a greased 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Bake @ 350 for 15 minutes- baking time varies per oven...basically DO NOT over back. These are best gooey chewy, I usually watch for the edges to start puffing up a little more than the rest and slightly turning brown.
Cool 10 minutes before frosting
*Note: can double for jelly roll pan
